NEWTOWN PRIMARY SCHOOL - West Bromwich

Built in 1972 to replace the Victorian Greets Green School, Newtown is a co-educational country primary day school for children aged 3 - 11 years

The school, situated adjacent to Sheepwash Urban Park, also benefits from having its own extensive playing fields contained in which is a nature area (ponds, meadows and woodland), and allotment gardens.
The building is semi-open plan, having a central hall around which are classrooms and work areas separated by doors and or curtains This affords a tremendous variety fo educational opportunities for children and staff to explore.

There are two "mobile" classrooms located on the north site of the building.

All classes are formed from groups of children of different levels of ability. These are termed "mixed ability" groups.

Classes are numbered:- YR, Y1, Y2 and so on up to Y6 (Juniors) - The average number of children in each class is 30
